Waikare Oyster Waste Recovery Limited appoints Operations Officer
The Waikare Oyster Waste Recovery Limited directors are pleased to welcome Tania McInnes as the new Operations Officer. She will be an important addition to the Project Oyster Shell team.
Tania has a wide range of knowledge and skills to offer the team. She is a director of GBT Ventures Ltd and the General Manager for Focus Paihia Community Trust on a part-time/voluntary basis. Her previous professional experience includes employment and youth coaching at Work & Income NZ and Whangarei One Stop Youth Shop (The Pulse), and Tania has also worked at Far North District Council as the Community Development Advisor and Executive Assistant to the Mayor.
Tania’s ability to work on large projects in the public arena is welcome in her new role as Operations Officer. Her strategic planning and relationship building skills are needed as well as her leadership and management knowledge. Some of the challenging tasks Tania will face are: facilitating the Project Oyster Shell’s outcomes; helping the group work together to solve some of the complex issues that are ahead of them and organising the recycling of large volumes of shells and timber from the oyster farms in the Waikare Inlet. The team believe Tania is capable of getting them through these tasks with her good sense of humour and excellent personal skills.
