NIF Development Coordinator appointed to boost region's development |

17 July, 2003ENTERPRISE NORTHLAND : MEDIA RELEASES 2003An Intersectoral Development Co-ordinator has been appointed to work in Northland across government agencies and other groups, to enhance social development outcomes. As part of a new ACC-sponsored initiative to assist with the co-ordination of services in Northland, the Co-ordinator will research and identify opportunities for government departments, territorial authorities and community groups to work together efficiently for the good of the region and its people. The Co-ordinator, former ACC manager David Templeton , will work closely with agencies and service providers, the regional and district councils, and the regional development agency, Enterprise Northland. Key tasks include:
David is based at the Whangarei office of Enterprise Northland, and reports to the Northland Intersectoral Forum (NIF). NIF, which meets monthly, is made up of the Chief Executive Officers and regional managers of government departments, and also has representation from the Mayoral Forum. David has worked for ACC in Whangarei for the last five years, and has also worked for Baycorp in Whangarei and at the Justice Department (Courts) in Kaitaia and Whangarei .
