About Northland

The first region of New Zealand where communities and missionaries settled and where New Zealand’s founding document the Treaty of Waitangi was signed in 1840.

The first region at the top of New Zealand, with the warmest climate in the country.

With our sublime variety of gorgeous beaches, coves and harbours, there is an inexhaustible range of things to do, see and enjoy in Northland. You’re never more than 40 kilometres from the coast so swimming, boating, diving and fishing are our most natural pastimes.

We have plenty of green spaces. Both rural and urban properties are likely to have a private outdoor space – one that will be large enough for your kids to play in, for your garden to grow and for your barbeque… a quintessential part of life in Northland.

Many a visitor chooses to return to Northland, bringing their families, their skills and trades, and their businesses with them.
