Wayne Hutchinson

General Manager            

Appointed as General Manager of Enterprise Northland in February 2011 after working for three years as a Senior Project Officer on development projects for the Trust. Wayne has a varied background in both public organisations and in business. He has owned and operated a horticulture business and  been the CEO of a company that was the 2007 Deloittes  500 fastest growing export company in New Zealand. In the public arena he has specialised in Economic Development since 1993 previously working for Southland District Council and Venture Southland project managing  a wide array of projects, mainly in the Primary production and added value  sectors, the largest being the Topoclimate project from 1999 - 2003.


Tammy Fromont

Financial Administrator

Tammy has been with the organisation since 1997, primarily taking care of the three entities financial requirements, mixed in with trust compliances, HR, and involvement in various projects that Enterprise Northland has participated in.


Stewart McElwain

Project Manager

Stewart accumulated some 15 years in the hospitality industry; having worked his way up through the ranks, in later years holding the role of Hotel General Manager in a number of establishments. In 1992 Stewart took up a senior management role at The University of Auckland; completing an 11 year tenure there as Group Manager, Student Affairs and Assistant Director, Student Administration.
Stewart joined Enterprise Northland mid-2007 as an Economic Development Officer and in later years has held the role of Project Manager. In this time Stewart has worked on a number of diverse projects: a District Council’s brand refreshing and portal website development; chairperson for a horticulture sector group, the Kumara Industry Network; writing of a pre-feasibility study for the establishment of a regional inland port/transport hub; writing of a District Council’s feasibility study for the NZ Cycle Trail Project; and since late 2009 seconded full time to the Northland Rugby World Cup 2011 Working Group as the Regional Coordinator.


Jamie Rosemergy

Regional Network Business Facilitator

After completing his schooling in the North, Jamie went on to the Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) where he served as a Naval Officer. During his time with the RNZN Jamie was responsible for managing trainers, overseeing and participating in new recruit development including mentoring, discipline and specialised training in team building, management and ship driving. He also completed operational tours of East Timor and Afghanistan where he lead and managed Provincial Reconstruction teams.
Since leaving the RNZN Jamie has held roles in sales and management in the Finance, Engineering and Recruitment/Labour hire industries. In these roles he has assisted business owners with business growth and profitability, implementing procedures, policies and working with his team and owners with a strong focus on accountability and results.
Over the last three years Jamie was a partner in his own consulting company where he serviced local SME’s, Government organisations, local iwi and large local and International companies. He assisted businesses in all aspects of marketing development, business and strategic planning, policy development, market research, joint venture and due diligence projects.
Jamie also has a community focus and is an active member of the Whangarei Lions and has established his own charitable project. This project has seen Jamie manage and run local events, develop and manage fundraising activities as well as seek and obtain large corporate national sponsors.
 


David Templeton

Regional Network Business Facilitator

After 13 Years working for the Court Division of the Justice Department David was asked to join the Baycorp family as the Whangarei Branch Manager for Baycorp Holdings ltd. After ten years lifting productivity he was then offered a lucrative franchise opportunity.
After running his business for two years David sold and accepted an appointment as a Team Leader at the Whangarei Branch of ACC. Within 18 months he took on the role of Branch Manager. Within two years at the helm, and at the request of the Senior Management at ACC, he was invited to join the Northland Intersectoral Forum (NIF). Initially David managed a project to increase the effectiveness of frontline service delivery of social services in Northland, with these contracts he was given unprecedented access to frontline staff in all central government agencies in Northland.
At the conclusion of that contract David was invited by the board of Enterprise Northland to manage the Regional Coordination of the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme and subsequently Education for Enterprise from 2005 to 2010. David was also instrumental in the formation of the Northland Youth Development Trust. 
David has now accepted the opportunity to join the Northland Business Grow Team, which looks forward to using his skills and connections to grow and nurture business and innovation in Northland.


Aurelia Robertson

Northland Intersectoral Forum Coordinator / Projects Officer

Aurelia initially trained as a lawyer in France. She spent 8 years working for a major multi-domestic defence contractor in the U.K. and France where her main activities revolved around the negotiation and management of offset and industrial participation projects with Foreign Ministries.
Aurelia has been working for the Northland Intersectoral Forum (NIF) since August 2010. She has recently joined the team at Enterprise Northland where she hopes to be able to continue to promote co-facilitating, sharing knowledge, and seeking out new innovative solutions to problems while working towards common goals.


Jacquie Reed

Aquaculture Business Manager
 

Jacquie has worked in the marine and coastal business sector for 18 years both in private enterprise and Government projects. She spent 9 years in the UK working on shellfish and fish health research projects and has a Ph.D. and B.Sc (Hons) from University College London. Jacquie has developed partnerships projects in Europe, USA, Australia, Korea, Japan and New Zealand. She has been involved with assessing animal health, R&D in particular detecting genetic changes in flounder, oysters and GreenshellTM Mussels from chemical stressors and likely impacts to aquaculture businesses from these chemicals.
Jacquie worked as a Group Manager at NIWA for 6 years and was Coastal Programme Manager at Northland Regional Council for 2 years where she worked with Wayne Hutchinson, the Oyster Industry and other partners to secure a multi-million dollar project to kick-start and develop economic opportunities in the Waikare Inlet, Opua area. Jacquie has recently joined the team at Enterprise Northland to manage the Oyster Shell Project and to facilitate an Aquaculture Development Group in Northland.
